Reem Almaghrabi is a Consultant and Section Head of Transplant Infectious Diseases, and Deputy Executive Director at the Organ Transplant Center of Excellence, King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Dr Almaghrabi completed her fellowship in Infectious Diseases and Transplant Infectious Diseases at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in the USA and is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Infectious Diseases. She also holds an Executive MBA from the Mohammed Bin Salman College of Business and Entrepreneurship in Saudi Arabia.
Dr Almaghrabi specializes in managing complex infections in solid organ transplant recipients, donor-derived infection clearance, and the prevention and control of invasive fungal diseases. Her clinical and research interests focus on invasive fungal infections, antimicrobial resistance, and advanced molecular diagnostics in transplantation. She has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and book chapters and is actively involved in multicenter studies aimed at improving outcomes for immunocompromised patients across the Middle East.
