New Diagnostic Mycology E-learning Course

A new e-learning course on ‘Diagnostic Medical Mycology’ launched and certified by the International Society for Human and Animal Mycology (ISHAM), is now available for anyone who would like to deepen their understanding about diagnostic medical mycology, regardless of previous experience.

The 12-module online course covers individual diagnostic methods in detail, including the identification of yeasts and molds; direct microscopy, culture and histopathology; antigen detection; antibody detection; molecular diagnosis; antifungal susceptibility testing and approaches to diagnosis in different patient populations. Participants who pass the final course exam will receive a certificate from ISHAM in recognition of their participation in the course.

The course is aimed at anyone who has an interest in diagnostic medical mycology and is ideal for those with limited experience as well as those who have some experience in this area. Extensive reading lists and bibliographies, textbook recommendations and a fully-linked glossary are included in the course.

The course is available at a discounted price of CHF15 for ISHAM members and CHF75 for non-ISHAM members.
